The eEducation
Group has developed and administered several state and nationally funded projects:
NSBRI, TMFP, the Ocean Drilling Distance Learning Program and
PEER. Currently, the eEducation
Group administers the Accelerate Online Teacher Certification Program, as well as the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and Executive Ed.D.(pending approval) online programs in the TLAC Department.
eEmpowerment
Zone
The
eEmpowerment Zone is a comprehensive, web-based e-learning and
professional development center that was designed for diverse communities of learners. Designed by Dr. Trina Davis and Arlen Strader, the eZone provides interactive learning
modules, and integrated tools and resources (like the ePortfolio and My eAssessment Centers) that support teaching and learning. Current modules cover
an array of topics like: educational philosophy, instructional planning, accommodating student diversity in the classroom, online lesson development, web design, test
item construction, instructional strategies, and online resource applications.
TMFP
The
Technology Mentor Fellowship Program (TMFP) is intended to match
technology-proficient pre-service teachers with K-12 teachers
and university faculty to model technology as an instructional
tool in K-12 and college classrooms.
i-Folio
The
i-Folio system is an interactive portfolio documentation tool
that allows pre-service teachers to display work and experiences
from their academic career and correlate that work to state and
national standards. This site is intended to be clearinghouse
for Teacher Education student portfolios that contain assignments
and projects from classes, organizations, or personal interests.
NSBRI
Visit
the NSBRI Curricula Web Site and explore the many space-related
educational resources including modules that are currently being
field-tested. The modules are: "Energy: It's Everywhere";
"EM Radiation in Everyday Life"; and "Radiation:
Where Does It Come From?".

of Geosciences have teamed up to create the Ocean Drilling Distance
Learning Program. Explore the online instructional materials and
the "Ship to Shore" RealMedia broadcasts from scientists
aboard the JOIDES Resolution.

The
Partnership for Environmental Education and Rural Health (PEER)
is a Science Education Partnership Award. Engaging multimedia
learning
modules are being developed for middle school science.

MAS Program
Apply
online to participate in this yearlong program with a one-week
summer professional development experience at Johnson Space Center.
Middle School Aerospace Scholars (MAS) is a program funded by
the State of Texas and administered by NASA JSC. The program is
open to 2-4 member teams of middle school teachers, preferably
with a background in science, math, or technology.
