This training is a 36-hour state certified program for future and practicing administrators. The training options include certification and/or university course credit (See the Licensure page as well).
 

The Principalship Institute (PI I)

The cornerstone in principal preparation is offered as a five-week summer institute in which you will experience:

  • Skill building activities that include in-baskets, leaderless groups, and case simulations;
  • Problem solving in real situations; and
  • 1 to 3 hours of graduate course credit or professional development credit available.

The Principalship Institute (PI II)

This is a 2-day professional development institute offered during the Summer and Fall. Topics are designed by a network of principals from several urban and rural school districts. The institute can be taken for professional development hours as well as course credit.
