Howdy! I'm an adjunct instructor at North
Harris College as well as Houston Community College. I started teaching
at Houston Community College in January 1995 and at North Harris in January
1996. I teach desktop publishing and multimedia development courses.
My undergraduate degree is from the University
of Houston-Downtown in Professional Writing. I received my masters from
Texas A&M in educational technology. And, I'm currently working on
a doctorate at Texas A&M in the College of Education with a focus on
educational technology and distance education.
I am married with one son. My husband is a real
estate attorney and my son is currently enrolled in a graduate program
at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. We are all Aggies! The motto
at our house is…"if it's maroon you can have it."
And as the song goes…these are a few of my favorite
things…travel, my shelties—Laura and Ashley (my children that don't have
to go to college), college sports, and my Mac. My husband and I try to
take lots of trips—so far we've been to England, Ireland, Scotland, France,
Italy, and lots of cities in the states where you can see baseball. We
are very active at Texas A&M with the Memorial Student Center and the
College of Education Development Council.
