Introduction:
Downloading TAMUNet and setting up your TAMU computer accounts can be a simple process if you follow this process. There are various ways to Set up Computer Accounts with A&M, however, we suggest that you follow this process.Less stress route:CIS has various handouts that you will need to accomplish this process
Trip to A&M:
Make (only) one trip to A&M and go to one of the following Labs(The
links are to Maps!):
**Before you go, you will need up to 9 disks. (it is suggested that you take more in case of disk failure)
Once you get there, Do the following:

Logon to a computer
If you do not have a Labs password: enter guest as the logon id and leave the password blank, to begin using a computer.Set up accounts
On Claim, set up the following accounts and their respective passwords:Get Printouts
(Instructions for Claim, or ask help desk for instructions)modemsExtra Tips on Claim
unix and or vms(vax) for e-mail
xprint
*You can ask someone at the help desk to set all of your password to be the same.
Print out the handout for TAMUNet that applies to you. Or ask help desk for the handout that applies to you:Download the softwareTAMUNet 4.4 for MacintoshTo Print: (You can print these out straight from you browser, however, because of pagination some information will be left out.)

- Go to the following page Handouts Page
- Select the printouts that you need by clicking in the box to the left of the title.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Submit to XPRINT button.
The handout will walk you through the process of Downloading the Software.**Before you leave make sure you have the following:
Handout for your version of TAMUNetInstall the software
Disks with downloaded files
Users ID's and Passwords
Then you will install your software. The Handouts tell you how.Here are some helpful hints for installing and using TAMUNet. Also, make sure to see the FAQ section at the bottom of this page!
