Welcome to this survey course in educational technology offered
by the Educational Technology Program in the Department of Educational
Curriculum and Instruction at Texas A&M University. Dr. Karen
L. Murphy is the instructor. You can email Dr. Murphy at kmurphy@tamu.edu
The course is Web-based, with only one face-to-face meeting held
on Saturday, September 4, 1999 from 9:30am - 4:30 pm. We'll meet for an
all-day orientation and training session in 623 Harrington on the TAMU
campus in College Station. Please bring:
-
something to share for a potluck lunch
-
something warm to wear (I'm not kidding!)
-
all of your course materials, including a printout of the syllabus and
schedule, your textbook, and the readings
Please note:
-
The course requires basic Internet skills (e.g., email, email attachments,
chats, Web searches).
-
The course requires as much time and effort as, if not more than, a
traditional course (approximately 12 hours per week for 15 weeks).
The syllabus will be posted very soon. In the meantime, please see the
Course
Description to learn some basics about the course.
