| Guidance: | (1) Provide students with a map of Texas.
(2) Provide students with the Texas State Travel Guide published by the Texas Department of Public Transportation. (3) Provide students with a list of different hotels and prices of stay. (4) Provide students with a list of different restaurants and prices of food. (5) Provide students with a list of steps needed to complete for this project. (6) Present students with an example of the completed project. Students may work out their own prices if they are able to obtain additional information from elsewhere. |

| Process: | Students will:
(1) Locate their final destination on the map. (2) Locate the points of their side trips. (3) Decide which highways/roads/interstates will get them from point A to point B to point C (and so on). (4) Draw in the route they will take on their trip, along with the side trips they will make on the way on a clean map that will be handed out to them. (5) Write the highway, road, interstate they will take along the way. (6) Plot out the places of hotels that they stayed and the significant places of stop. |
