This is one of the 30 laptops that we have available for Room 636. A user will login as guest, which will require no password. These laptops include the following programs/accessories:
- Netscape
- Internet Explorer
- SPSS 12.0
- AdobeAcrobat 6.0
- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Front Page, and Photo Editor
- Camtasia
- SnagIt
- 3.5 inch floppy
- CD/DVD Drive
The laptops also have an integrated wireless network card. To connect to the internet wirelessly, double click on "Connect to TAMU" on the desktop, and supply your Neo Username and Password. Call 845-8300 for help, if you do not know your NEO username or password.
In order to log into the wireless web, one must supply their own user name in password. If they are logged into an alternate location with their username and password, they cannot log in. If they are logged into another location, then you have to use an ethernet cable to plug them in. There are a total of 30 ethernet cables located in the closet in Room 636.
NOTE: There are 19 ethernet cables, all of varying length, located in the right cabinet in the closet in Room 636 (drawer number 13). There are also an additional 11 ethernet cables, all 25 feet long, located in the bottom of the same cabinet.
