Call for Cover Art and Arts Based Submissions

MISSION STATEMENT

The Journal of Curriculum & Pedagogy is positioned at the intersection of curriculum theory and teaching studies. We believe that notions of professional artistry in all teaching fields are deeply embedded in general curriculum concerns and issues. We, therefore, are committed to advancing scholarship that explores the relationship between curriculum and pedagogy. The editors invite papers and other scholarly products that address curriculum and pedagogy through a wide range of interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, or other unique multi-discursive and artistic efforts. The journal seeks to extend critical discussion and to advance research that situates education in socio-political and cultural contexts. We welcome papers and other products with a historical, philosophical, gendered, sexual, racial, ethnic, linguistic, autobiographical, aesthetic, institutional, theological, and/or international emphasis. PUBLICATION SCHEDULE

The Journal of Curriculum and Pedagogy is pleased with the positive response to our journal. We publish two issues of each volume. Our acceptance rate is about 30%, and all manuscripts are double blind reviewed and refereed by our editorial board. Volume 1, numbers 1 & 2 were published in 2004. Volume 2, numbers 1 & 2 were published in 2005, and Volume 3, numbers 1 & 2 were published in 2006. Volume 4, numbers 1 & 2 were published in 2007. We now have about 12 manuscripts in various stages of acceptance and revision for Volume 5, numbers 1 & 2 in 2008. We also have about 20 manuscripts under review for possible inclusion of some of them in Volume 6 in 2009. We are currently accepting manuscripts for review for Volume 7 in 2010. We welcome new submissions, but authors should be aware that there is a long waiting period between review, acceptance, and publication.
